Courageous Trust

“I believe God therefore...”
I first heard this prompt in a sermon at the beginning of the year.
“I believe God therefore…” with an understanding that each of us had something in our lives that would complete the sentence.
That because we have faith we must also have trust.
This trust produces a “therefore” in our lives. “Therefore” calls us to action, to patience, to change or to healing.
We start by believing in God, declaring that belief, and then putting courageous trust in Him to be I AM in every aspect of our lives.
So that Sunday I found my personal end to the sentence…

“I Believe God Therefore, I Trust Him to Satisfy Me”

We all have needs, we all have desires and foolishly we can spend our lives chasing after those desires.
Whether or not we need them
Whether or not they are God’s Will
Yet it is when I believe in God and trust Him that I can stop running
I can stop worrying
I can rest in courageous trust
Courageous trust because it takes courage to let go of control, to release our worries, to release our pain, to stop moving and rest in God’s promise to be with us always, to care for us always, to be GOD so we don’t have to
So in every moment of anxiety, in every point of pain I can say “I believe God and Trust Him to satisfy me”
“If you believe that God is sovereign over every aspect of your life, it is possible to trust Him in all situations”
“Anything that tends to make you anxious is a growth opportunity” (Jesus Calling)
I find that as I seek God I find Him, as I trust Him He blesses me beyond anything I could have ever expected. As I walk forward step by step with my hands open to what God gives or what God takes away (Sharpteam) I am satisfied and I am at peace.

What needs do you desire to be satisfied by God?
More Importantly…
In what areas of your life can you step out and courageously trust in God?

In His Grace,
April

“These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need. So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.” Luke 12: 30-32 (NLT)
